Born and raised in Columbus Ohio, I caught the music bug early. When I was 7 years old, my best friend’s father was in the entertainment business. Hanging out at rehearsals and on the tour buses sold me on the idea of being a musician, or at the very least, a drummer. All this lead to spending my high school years at Fort Hayes vocational school for music and Capital University Conservatory of Music for college studying under Bob Breithaupt. The diversity in Columbus gave me the chance to play with many great players doing many different styles - from Big Band (Vaughn Weister’s Famous Jazz Orchestra) and Brazilian to Afro-Cuban and Fusion. All the while, I was doing my share of rock and top 40 gigs.

I moved to Nashville in the summer of 1999. Working as a freelance drummer in Nashville has taken me all over the U.S. and overseas to places like Japan, France, Scotland and the Middle East. The Nashville music scene keeps me busy in town including the Lower Broadway District, 12th and Porter, and the Grand Ole Opry. I’ve toured both regionally and nationally, with the Wrights, Mark Selby, Eddy Raven, Billy Dean, Michelle Wright, Jason Jones and Savannah Jack. I've been asked to sub one or two gigs for some great folks like SheDaisy, Jo Dee Messina, Carolina Rain, Danielle Peck and Steve Holy. The large number of great songwriters in this town keep me going full-time, both live and in the studio.  In the studio, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many talented producers including Eric Fritsch, Teddy Morgan, Jim Reilley and Brent Maher.

In 2009, the bulk of my work included touring with Jason Jones and Savannah Jack. I also took two trips to Europe with Michelle Wright and finished the year with a month long Christmas tour of western Canada with her as well.

2010 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Savannah Jack with a new CD soon to be released under a new label. The single should be out in March and new shows are coming in weekly. Otherwise, I am always accepting new work as my schedule will allow. Feel free to contact me.
